HOUSE TO RENT AUDE REGION The village of ARGELIERS is set in the heart of the Minervois wine growing area. The village has 2 bakers,2 butchers, a small supermarket a newsagent/ tobacconist and a wine cave. It is just8 miles from Narbonne, 16 miles from the Mediterranean and 1 mile from the famous Canal du Midi. There is a large supermarket Intermarche and Aldi 3miles away. Nearest airports are Carcassonne, Montpellier, Pérpignan, Béziers, Toulouse, Nimes, and Barcelona. TGV trains go to Narbonne and Béziers. |

THE ACCOMMODATION The attractive village house in Argeliers has been tastefully decorated to provide full facilities for your holiday. You enter from the narrow street into the kitchen/dining room which has gas hob fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher . This leads into the lounge with satellite TV, video recorder, and radio. Up the stairs to the first floor there are two bedrooms with double beds Through the hallway there is a bathroom, with shower, basin and wc. On the same floor their is a 'snug area' for quiet reading, music etc, which leads up to the mezzanine, which has a futon for an extra guest if needed, This leads out onto a wonderful roof terrace with a bar-b-que, where you can enjoy evening meals cooked on the bar-b-que whilst sipping some of the superb wine that is available in this area.

THE REGION Languedoc-Roussillon has the driest and warmest climate in France. It is an area with full of history from Roman times, with Cathar castles. Historical towns such as Béziers, Narbonne, Minerve and Carcassonne (with its wonderful medieval cite) are all within easy reach. Visit St Pons and La Salvatat in the Montagne Noire for, canoeing and lovely walks through the forests and lakes, and just an hours drive away to the south, is the Spanish border.
Golf, tennis, walking, horse riding fishing and canoeing are all
available in the area. The Mediterranean is within 30 minutes drive
with it’s beautiful sandy beaches such as can be seen at Gruissan.
The tree lined
Canal Du Midi, a UNESCO heritage site, is within 5 minutes drive and
you can hire a boat or bicycles and explore this wondrous
engineering feat.

ACCESS International airports are at Montpellier (1 hour 10 minutes), Carcassonne (50 minutes), Toulouse (1 hour 30 minutes), Nimes (1 hour 30 minutes), Pérpignan (I hour) and in Spain at Barcelona (3 hours). Narbonne railway station is 25 minutes. |
